ABCHESS Rising Stars League tournaments
Tournament Format
- System: Swiss system
- Time Control: 10 minutes per player (10+0)
- Rounds: The tournament will consist of multiple rounds, and each round will be paired based on players' current scores. You must play all your games until the end to ensure fairness.
- Fair Play: This is a fair play tournament, and all participants are expected to play without any external assistance. Cheating, including using computer engines, advice from other players, or any other form of help, will not be tolerated.
- Zoom Monitoring: All players must join the tournament via Zoom with their cameras turned on for the duration of the game. This is to prevent cheating and ensure that the game is played fairly.
- Audio Monitoring: In addition to video monitoring, occasional audio checks may be made to ensure there is no external assistance.
- Lichess Anti-Cheating System: The Lichess platform will automatically monitor games for signs of cheating using its advanced detection system. We also reserve the right to manually review games if suspicious activity is detected.
- Disqualification: If any participant is found to be cheating (whether through the Lichess detection system, Zoom monitoring, or other means), they will be immediately disqualified from the tournament. Their points will be voided, and they will be banned from future tournaments organized by ABCHESS
- No Replays: If your internet connection fails or you experience technical issues, the game will not be replayed. Lichess will likely register a loss if you disconnect, and this result will be accepted by the tournament organizers.
Registration and Participation
- Age Limit: Participants must be between 6 and 16 years old to compete in this tournament.
- Account Requirement: All participants must have a valid Lichess account to register and play in the tournament. If you encounter issues creating an account, please contact the tournament referee via WhatsApp or the provided communication channel, and they will assist you with a test account if necessary.
- Stable Connection Required: A stable internet connection is required to participate. If your connection is unstable or you disconnect during a game, you may be disqualified or receive a loss. Please ensure your internet is reliable throughout the tournament.
- Fee: The participation fee for the tournament is $25. This fee is non-refundable once the tournament has started.
- Top 3 Players: The top 3 players in the final standings will receive certificates and memorable gifts from ABCHESS.
- No Refunds: The tournament fee is non-refundable once the tournament has started.
- Sportsmanship: All participants are expected to behave respectfully toward others, both during the tournament and in any related communication. Disrespectful behavior, harassment, or disruptive actions may result in disqualification.
- Decision of the Referee: The tournament referee's decision is final in all matters concerning rules, disputes, and disqualifications.
- Platform Use: By participating, you acknowledge that you are using the Lichess platform at your own risk and agree to follow their terms of service as well. ABCHESS is not responsible for any technical issues that arise during the event.
